Romania’s Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, has announced the development of a digital platform designed to gather direct feedback from healthcare professionals and patients on the challenges and needs of the health system. The new tool aims to enhance transparency, trust, and participation in health policy decisions.

The Ministry of Health is preparing to launch a digital platform that will systematically collect feedback from doctors, nurses, residents, psychologists, physiotherapists, administrative staff, and patients.

“I’ve listened to your opinions over the past few months — and you’re right! Sometimes we make decisions without properly consulting those who actually work in the system,” said Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete in a public statement.

According to Rogobete, the platform will include thematic questionnaires tailored to different professional categories as well as patients.

“There will be questions for nurses — to tell us what isn’t working and what they would like to see changed. There will be questions for resident doctors, and for patients, whose hospital experiences will be carefully analyzed,” he explained.

The minister emphasized that the goal of the project is to bring decision-makers “closer to people” and to build real solutions together for improving the system: “I don’t want to make changes in healthcare just because ‘that’s how it’s done.’ I want every change to take into account those who work day and night in the system — and the patients who benefit from it.”

Rogobete described the initiative as part of a broader strategy to rebuild trust and empathy within Romania’s healthcare system: “Our system is sometimes imperfect. But that’s exactly why we’re here — to make it better, more empathetic, and more humane. People don’t just need medicines or modern equipment; they also need empathy, a kind word, a sincere handshake.”

He concluded by stressing the importance of open dialogue and constructive criticism:

“I thank those who support me — and I also thank the critics, because every constructive critique helps. Soon we will launch this new strategic project for Romania’s healthcare system.”
